  • Monitor safety on a daily basis, observe  and educate employees to improve the safety knowledge and culture (add forklift operator safety plan, emergency action plan and accident reporting)

  • Help in the disposition of nonconforming product. (Nonconforming Material Reporting – NCMR).
  • Act as final authority on the submission of ISIR / PPAP submissions to the customer.
  • Participate in the Corrective and Preventive Action Process and also in the solution of nonconforming material occurrences that didn’t lead to corrective action.
  • Assist other department managers in the achievement of their quality objectives. Be familiar with the QMS master list of quality documents, how to access QMS documents, the control of QMS documents and the control of QMS records and be able to develop standards, work instructions, methods for inspection, testing, and evaluate products and processes
  • Assist QA Manager or other department managers with Continuous Improvement ideas and Internal Audits. (internal audit procedure, internal audit schedule, internal audit guidelines)
  • Assist production department leads in the development of operators capable of insuring part quality requirements during production (insert shop floor work center console work instructions, work instructions for accessing BOL, identification n and traceability tags, material color codes, sampling plans, first and last piece inspection, boom plate surface criteria, boundary samples, cut and etch procedures, armor procedure, engineering change notification,
  • Advises upper management of significant issues or developments identified during quality activities. (receiving inspection, MRB Process, first and last piece inspection, PPAP)
  • Decision authority over quality issues and discrepancies at the plant level.  The authority to approve customer returns and the costs associated with such decisions.  (add MRB  Material Review Board Process,
  • Proficiency in calibration (add calibration document, mountz torque calibration, indicator gage , caliper, basic calibration, micrometer, height gage, scales and tape measure, pin)
  • Complete responsibility for customer satisfaction through their quality of work. The goal is to reduce variability to achieve zero defects for our products and services while reducing costs. (work instruction to the ncmr form, rma process, ncmr  log instructions, notice and response to corrective and preventative action requests, on hold and scrap instructions)
  • Be able to do layouts and inspections on parts as needed.  Advanced GD & T, Faro, CMM, Inspection knowledge
  • Supervise the training and development of quality technicians. mechanical tensile tester, virtek/laser qs scanner, hardness tester, brinnel hardness tester)

Minimum Qualifications

Education:  A bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of experience and education

Experience:  5 plus years in a Quality Engineering/Technician discipline and supervisory position.

Computer Skills:  CAD, Microsoft Office, SPC based software.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:  ISO 9001 auditor training.

Special Requirements:  Proficient in SPC, Advanced GD & T training, Blueprint reading, PPAP submissions including FMEA and Control Plan creation.  Basic knowledge of    manufacturing processes to include: stamping, laser, CNC punch, press brake and welding.  Good communication skills, team player, ability to multi-task.  Proficient in ISO 9001 QMS maintenance

Job Summary

Job Summary

This position is responsible for the planning, organizing, and monitoring of the shipping, receiving, material handling & warehousing departments. Supervises workers who confirm and record the receipt of goods, materials & services, customer shipments, prepare items for shipping, and load and unload trucks. Supervises material handling and warehousing personnel & duties. Also responsible for managing the inter-departmental transport of materials. Ensure that our focus remains on servicing the customer. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Complete or delegate the following responsibilities:

  • Verify and document all receipts of incoming materials, goods and services, including transactions within ERP system
  • Verify counts and identification of all incoming & outgoing shipments, including transactions within ERP system
  • Ensure that deliveries are loaded, packaged correctly, billed out and leave the facility in a timely manner in order to meet customer requirements.
  • Schedule method of transportation for outgoing shipments to customers based on customer mandated routing instructions, internal direction or customer portals.
  • Supports outgoing trucking, packaging and scheduling.
  • Contact carrier representative to make arrangements and to issue instructions for the shipping of materials.
  • Generate and complete all packing lists, labels, tags and bill of ladings required to comply with customer requirements and internal standards on all outgoing shipments. Make sure all paper work is complete and accurate.
  • Strong communication skills with both internal & external customers via phone/email.
  • Knowledge of efficient trailer loading procedures and proper material handling techniques as well as instructional skills.
  • Adherence to the established tagging practices (Identification and Traceability).
  • Stage materials for receiving inspection.
  • Conferring and corresponding with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages and nonconformance to specifications. 
  • Performing light Quality Control to ensure that products are going to the correct areas.
  • Performing general cleanup and maintenance of your work area.
  • Communicate in advance any potential shipment shortages to Planning.
  • Distribute materials to appropriate departments after inspection.
  • Work with production cell leaders to stage materials for setups, ensure flow of supply to and from work areas, and assist them with any other logistical issues with material flow.
  • Ensure safe storage of finished goods to prevent damage and loss
  • Rotate stock by using the FIFO method to prevent obsolescence and spoilage (rust).
  • Monitor, with the assistance of HR, the training levels of all individuals within their department. (Training Matrix (Record of group training participation).  Specific attention should be given to Crane and Forklift training and licensing.
  • Communicate to each operator the importance of the QMS; specifically its’ role in customer satisfaction.
  • Continually communicate to all operators any and all changes affecting the QMS via Record of Department Meeting Participation.
  • Verify with maintenance the records of equipment associated with the department.
  • Report the receipt of and/or damage of any customer supplied materials.
  • Assist the other cell leaders in the preparation of the 5S methodology.
  • With the assistance of the operators within the cell, identify and document of Continuous Improvement opportunities.
  • Identify and provide solutions to department performance and systemic issues.
  • When called upon, assist in the MRB process.
  • Process PO receipts within Intuitive.
  • Process “Warehouse Transfer” transactions within Intuitive.
  • Place HOLD tags on product they determine to be suspect. (Identification and Traceability)
  • Stop activity with their department when safety is compromised.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly supervise all personnel and functions of shipping, receiving, material handling & warehousing disciplines

To perform On-the-Job Training for the personnel within the department.

Assist in the orientation of new employees to the department and the company.

Train personnel to shipping, receiving & warehousing methods.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Associate’s degree or equivalent OR a combination of experience and education.

Clerical Support to the Business Unit Manager and Customer Service department, Enters customer Service purchase orders into the ERP system.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Data Entry

  • Data Entry Support is responsible for supporting the Customer Service Representative and Business Unit Manager by
  • Entering customers’ purchase orders into the Intuitive ERP system.
  • After the receipt of an order for a new part, create a job folder, enter the item into Intuitive and create an entry into the contract review log to start the manufacturing/contract review process.
  • Upon receiving customer updates to existing and future orders (i.e. CTP MRB, Lord Snapshots), adjust the existing info in Intuitive and on the MJS to the current requirements.
  • Where required, provide ASN’s or Shipment Performance Reports to Business Unit Manager.
  • Assist Business Unit Manager with special requests from customer when required.
  • Initiate Customer Quality Alerts when customer complaints arise. Update ncmr log and send out alerts.
  • Assist Planning with the creation of shop packets for production (work orders).
  • Receipt of On-The-Job-Training from Business Unit Manager.
  • Know what the Company Quality Policy and Quality Objectives mean to them and their role associated with the achievement of these objectives.
  • Assist the Business Unit Manger with the introduction of Continuous Improvement ideas.

  • Matches vendor invoices to packing slips
  • Input vendor invoices into ERP system by matching receipt quantities and PO prices against invoices
  • Reviews and resolves invoices discrepancies
  • Codes such items as invoices, vouchers, expense reports, check requests etc. with correct general ledger account codes
  • Maintains and files open payable
  • Select vendor invoices for payment
  • Process, print and mail checks for vendor invoices out of ERP system
  • Files and maintains close/paid vendor invoices
  • Void checks, as needed
  • Handles all vendor correspondence via phone or email
  • Be direct contact with certain vendors (such as uniform vendor)
  • Resolves issues with vendors
  • Process, print and mail debit memos
  • Complete credit applications for new vendors
  • Open accounts with new vendors
  • Request W-9 forms from vendors
  • Assist is monthly status reports, and month closing by reconciling AP aging and unmatched receipts to general ledger

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Welder to cut and join metals and other materials at our facilities. A welder must be competent in using potentially dangerous equipment following all safety precautions. The ideal candidate will also have a steady hand and great attention to detail. Knowledge of different kinds of metal and their properties is essential.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures
  • Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements
  • Set up components for welding according to specifications 
  • Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded
  • Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces
  • Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead)
  • Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps
  • Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws
  • Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety

Minimum Qualifications

  • Proven experience as welder
  • Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (TIG, MMA etc.)
  • CWI or CRAWL certification is a major plus 
  • 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Is able to perform basic maintenance on the laser including gas changes, nozzle changes and the nozzle centering operation.
